Who are Hidaka Yumemi & Munto?

Hidaka Yumemi and Munto are the two main characters from the movies/OVAs Munto and Munto 2: Toki no Kabe wo Koete (Beyond the Walls of Time).

Hidaka Yumemi is a regular 15-year-old schoolgirl with a strange gift. She can see a floating island in the sky that no one else can. She's been able to do so since childhood, but no one believed her. To avoid worrying her family and friends, she stopped talking about it and carries an umbrella to avoid looking at the sky. She is shy and often reserved, though her friends think she 'daydreams' too much. All that changes when she meets Munto...

Munto is the King of the Magic Kingdom, a country in the Heavenly World. This world is in a parallel dimension to Earth and sometimes crosses over, which is why Yumemi can see the Magic Kingdom. A shortage of the life-giving force ACUTO moves Munto to act upon a vision he foresaw; in which he travels to Earth to find a girl with the power to restore balance to the Heavens. That girl turns out to be Yumemi...

When the two meet, Yumemi and Munto get off to a rather bad start. Yumemi doesn't believe him about needing her help and she ignores what's happening to her. Of course, Munto, in his urgency, isn't very friendly either. Despite this, the two come to an understanding and help avert the crisis. They part ways, rather sadly, but meet again to help stop war in the Heavenly World...

Why make a fanlisting for them?

Yumemi and Munto come to share a special relationship that transcends both their worlds. In a way, they can sense each other's auras or emotions; this is more true in Munto 2, when Yumemi starts to have visions of Munto in battle. Given the cosmic connection they have, I believe that they could develop a friendship and possibly a deep romantic relationship.

Why 'A Single Touch'?

In the movies, all it took for Yumemi and Munto to release the ACUTO power was "a single touch". I thought it fitting for the fanlisting title, as it entails that one brief moment of contact is all it takes to change the world. Or become a part of someone's heart. :)
